Catherine L Dixon, APRN-Bio

Catherine Lassiter Dixon is a highly experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse with over 27 years of nursing experience in direct patient care. Based in Dallas, TX, Catherine has demonstrated strong clinical skills and leadership abilities, effectively leading teams and mentoring novice nurses. She is known for her ability to follow evidence-based guidelines, blended with clinical experience and personal intuition, to provide exceptional patient care.

Catherine holds a Master of Science in Nursing (APRN) from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Georgia State University. She is also certified in Adult-Gerontology, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Basic Life Support (BLS).

Catherine served as a nurse and nurse practitioner with the Department of Defense (DOD) and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) within private and public healthcare. She is a leader in the Patient Care Medical Home (PCMH) model, providing comprehensive telephone and clinical triage to patients and their families. She also served as a relief nurse, triaging walk-in patients, facilitating care coordination, and educating patients on various health topics.

Catherine has managed a patient care panel of over 1,100 patients, providing holistic healthcare and facilitating access to care. Her experience also includes roles at Baylor Regional Medical Center, Winchester Hospital, and various Veterans Affairs Healthcare Systems, where she provided specialized care in oncology, critical care, and post-anesthesia settings.
